The GED test credential is the only high school equivalency credential recognized in all 50 states. The test consists of five different test sections: social studies, science, reading, mathematics, and writing and costs $30 for each section or $120 for all sections. GED is no longer DANTES funded for active duty servicemembers and their families. To test at a military testing center, please create a GED account and then call GED to set your profile to the GED Employer Program. Please ensure GED staff assist you with scheduling your exam as it is not possible to do so online on your own. If you are an eligible servicemember seeking reimbursement, you must make an Electronic Reimbursement Request online with DANTES.
