The D-Day landings and the campaign in Normandy which followed have taken on an almost mythic status in the history of World War II. Viewed as the great turning point of this global conflict, the campaign can be seen as a vital signpost event in European, American, and military history. You will study the battle strategies, maps of the area, and slides illustrating the equipment of the period, all while visiting the battlefields, beaches, museums, and memorials dedicated to this campaign.

You will gain access to the online LEO classroom approximately 1 week prior to the start of the course. The official course start date is 28 August 2024. Once you gain access to the classroom, take a virtual walk-through of the course and begin reading assignments.
