You must meet the criteria for graduate admission at UMGC and also provide one of the following items (reflecting course completion or industry certification):

  • An official transcript reflecting completion of courses at the 200-level or higher in statistics and computer programming from a regionally accredited college or university (credit from other accredited institutions may be considered on a case-by-case basis)
  • Proof of industry certification, such as IBM certification in Cognos, Risk Analytics, SPSS, SAS certification, Microsoft certification, Certified Analytics Professional, Certified Business Intelligence Professional, or Certified Health Data Analyst
