General Master's Degree Requirements

  • You must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher at all times.
  • All degree requirements must be fulfilled within five consecutive years.
  • Any transfer credits must have been earned within the five-year time frame to be applied toward a graduate degree.

CAHIIM institutes and enforces accreditation standards and accredits Health Informatics and Health Information Management degree programs at the associate, baccalaureate, and master's degree levels in the United States and Puerto Rico.

Graduates of the Masters of Science in Health Informatics Administration program are eligible to apply for the Registered Health Information Administrator national certification examination offered by the American Health Information Management Association.
