Medical Terminology

Course Desc: A study of the principles and elements of medical word building and the basic vocabulary of anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Focus is on recognizing, pronouncing, spelling and using the vocabulary of medical terminology. The root words of anatomy, physiology, and pathology; basic anatomical structures; and medical abbreviations are also examined.

Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention

Course Desc: An exploration of the underlying causes of drug abuse and contemporary efforts toward drug prevention, control, and rehabilitation. Focus is on a critical analysis of the relevant scientific literature on crime and drug prevention.
